TOKYO FRANK

Five art students and a tutor from Nottingham Trent University,UK on a visit to Tokyo. Staging an exhibition in collaboration with students from Musashino Arts University and a performance event. explore what international collaboration is all about. The exhibition is called "Traversing Territories". In March 2006 students from Tokyo are coming to Nottingham to do the same. The start of a long relationship. I`ll tell you all about it and show you the pictures.

DAY TWO GETTING TO WORK

We start to dialogue in images and ideas-doing drawings on a whiteboard, showing stills,playing sounds and videos. A student from Nottingham then one from Musabi. The 18 presentations convince us we can fill the space-but it might all be chaos. Lots of sound work and possible collaborative pieces emerge. Johnny Scarr on his concept of "inaudible sound" which Professor Charles is intrigued by. We need loads of inaudible sound to avoid audio chaos in the show.
